On Eddie Robinson:

I never knew Coach Robinson. I knew of him, I was aware of his many accomplishments and how he was a great Coach. To me, to be a great Coach is a great teacher and then some. Relationships between players and Coaches are much more than those of your average teacher. Eddie Robinson, from all I’ve ever heard and seen was one of very few men who "walk the talk", he led by example and set an example for a great many young men. He did it with hard work, honesty and humility.
You were a Man among Men

  1. Wow, thanks for posting this…it is amazing to see at the end of the year who passed.  To you and yours…have a safe and happy new year!Peace.

  2. Eddie Robinson was great.  Like you, I didn’t know him personally, but, he remains alive in those whom he touched.  Nice post.  Peace.

  3. They will all be missed – While attending Tennessee State, Grambling will visit for the football games and basketball games and Coach Robinson has always been an larger than life gentleman and coach –
