James Horner

When I was 10 years old my father bought me the score to Star Wars. Those that know me well know that since then my favorite music to listen to are movie scores. Tonight the man who has more music on my Ipod than anyone else died in a plane crash. From Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan to present day movies like Avatar, I’ve been a great admirer of James Horner’s work. He is in my opinion one of the great composers of our time. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. Rest In Peace James Horner.

My two favorite James Horner compositions:

Glory

Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan

Charleston

To Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, Reverend Clementa Pinckney, Ethel Lee Lance, Cynthia Hurd, Tywanza Sanders, Myra Thompson, Susie Jackson, Daniel Simmons, and Rev. Depayne Middleton: I mourn with your families, friends, the community, and to the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church congregation. I am extremely shocked, speechless and absolutely heartbroken over this senseless act.

May you all rest in peace, and my thoughts are with you and the city of Charleston, SC
