One of my favorite podcasts to listen to is Song Exploder, which is a music podcast hosted and produced by Hrishikesh Hirway.
The biweekly show features musicians talking about the creative process behind an individual song while “deconstructing” the song into its component parts.
The songs highlighted on the program have belonged to genres ranging from pop to hardcore punk to television theme songs, film scores and video game music. The podcast launched on the Maximum Fun network, went independent in February 2015 and joined Radiotopia in June 2015.
Here is the latest episode featuring Lin Manuel Miranda.
.@Lin_Manuel Miranda takes apart "Almost Like Praying," his benefit song for Puerto Rico. He tells the story of how it was written, recorded with 20+ guest musicians, and released in just 8 days. With thoughts from @HereIsGina and @itsTROOKO. Listen: https://t.co/OJ1RRNdUTB pic.twitter.com/AIq2JcnO0C

Friend of mine just sent me this trailer clip of the film “The Killing Of A Sacred Deer” with Nicole Kidman and Colin Ferrell, where I play a doctor at a gala. They show me twice at the front table next to the woman with the blue dress. We actually did about 30-35 takes of this scene. Second movie trailer clip in two years I’ve been in (Miles Ahead). Pretty cool!
